The Paul Ruby Foundation is involved with two events: Concert for a Cure and Sub-5 Century Challenge.
Concert for a Cure is the Paul Ruby Foundation's focal fundraiser each year and is celebrating its 5th anniversary on August 27th. Hosted at Tanna Farms in Geneva, IL, this event has become an all day family friendly music festival that features some of the best bands and artists from the area, as well as nationally. In addition to the music performances, the event held also features a kid-zone that has a face painting, a moon jump and other kid-friendly activities, silent and live auctions, and lots of great food. This popular event not only provides a fun, family oriented day, but also supports research efforts for Parkinson's disease, with all proceeds benefiting Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Center in Chicago.
In 2010, Concert for a Cure featured 10 bands. The event raised over $100,000 and attracted more than 1,200 supporters and fans. The money was used to fund Parkinson’s Disease research at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
