Read the stories of individuals affected by Parkinson's Disease, and what they're doing to stay strong and work toward a cure.
Dear friends of The Paul Ruby Foundation for Parkinson’s Research,
My name is Aleks Videnovic. I am Paul’s physician. I met Paul and Linda in the summer of 2006. Our relationship grew over the past few years. By now, I feel I’ve known them all my life. The man behind the name of this foundation is strong, humble, determined and generous. I am not aware of any other foundation which accomplished so much in such a short period of time. This illustrates the love and respect Paul and his family hold in their community. But it is all the people involved with the foundation that make it special. They took upon themselves a noble task of promoting awareness of Parkinson’s disease and raising money to support Parkinson’s research. We at Northwestern are proud to partner with such a dynamic group of people. On a personal level, I carry special gratitude to the Foundation which generously supported my research for two years in a row. I am very enthusiastic about my research. Without research we are unable to advance our understanding of the disease which is the only way to the cure. And nowadays more than ever we need all the help we can get. So, I thank you personally for supporting The Paul Ruby Foundation for Parkinson’s research. Only together can we make a difference for millions affected by this disease.
